Prof. Dr. Ts. Mohamad Sattar

Professor Ts. Dr. Mohamad Sattar Rasul Ph.D & MSc. in Engineering & Industrial Systems) (Universiti Putra Malaysia), Bachelor of Technology with Education (Mechanical Engineering), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) His research areas include TVET Policy and Curriculum, Quality Assurance, Qualifications and Skills Certification System, Career Development, Engineering and STEM Education. He became Project Leader for two Fundamental Research Grant Schemes (FRGS), Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP) Grants, CLMV Grants (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) and University-Industry Grants, University-Community Grants. In 2018, he received the Top Researcher Award for External Research Grantee. He has received a number of grants from NGOs and industry such as FELDA (Federal Land Development Authority), ExxonMobil (2015-2019 – 5 consecutive years) and Tabung Haji (TH) (2017-2018 – 2 consecutive years) for the Development Program STEM and two grants from MARA (Majlis Amanah Rakyat) to develop the “MARA TVET Entrepreneur Model Towards a High Income Society” and the STEM Education Research Model. MARA is a Malaysian government agency to assist, train and mentor Bumiputra in business and industry. At university level, he is Associate Professor in TVET and STEM Education and is currently the Chair of the Center for STEM Enculturation Studies and associate for the Center for Engineering Education and Research for almost 7 years. His excellence as a dynamic academic expert has also recorded recognition, he has won the Community Involvement/Engagement Award in 2015 and 2019 as an academic with very active community engagement. In 2018 he won the “Most Published in Indexed Journal (WOS/SCOPUS/ERA)” award. To date, he has published 125 articles in indexed journals, 65 proceedings, and 9 academic books. At the international level, he won the Gold Award and Best of the Best Award in Innovative Practices in STEM Edu.
